Lauren McCann (Chrissos) is vice president of development for The Heartland Institute, where she manages the department and is responsible for the identification, cultivation, and maintenance of donors on behalf of the organization.

Prior to joining Heartland, Lauren spent more than four years at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University in corporate, government, and external affairs. Lauren has also worked at the America’s Future Foundation, the Adam Smith Institute in London, and Americans for Tax Reform tackling policy issues ranging from national security and missile defense to health care and social security.

Lauren is from Gaithersburg, Maryland. She attended Catholic University where she studied political science and philosophy. She is a kickboxing instructor and professional singer and has performed at various notable establishments across the country.
