George T. Wolff, Ph.D., whose doctorate is in environmental sciences, specializes in air quality, meteorology and climate science. Among many other positions held, he was a member of the EPA Science Advisory Board from 1985 to 2006, and was chairman of EPA’s Clean Air Scientific Advisory Board from 1992 to 1996. Wolff urges that EPA hold an administrative hearing on-the-record on its endangerment finding. Dr. Wolff states the scientific data is inadequate because, among other things, the U.S. temperature record is contaminated, citing Is the U.S. Surface Temperature Record Reliable? by Anthony Watts, published by Heartland. He also said the peer review of the EPA science documents is improper because the peer reviewers are “essentially reviewing their own work.”
