I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for the outstanding work of the Heartland Institute. Your School Reform News publication was the first exposure I ever had to the free-market school choice movement in America. The authoritative articles and broad coverage impacted me so much, that after subscribing for a year or so, I knew I wanted to devote the rest of my life to helping change public policy in this area so crucial to the survival of our civil society.
As you know, I eventually teamed up with a fine sister organization, the Mackinac Center for Public Policy, but it was Heartland's School Reform News that first put me on the path. I continue to read it vigorously to this day.
