Health Care Roundtables

The Heartland Institute is hosting a series of health care roundtable discussions across the country in cooperation with state and local think tanks and associations. Discussion leaders will include representatives of some of the most innovative organizations and thought leaders in American health care today including small business owners, physicians, and health care experts. The roundtable provides a forum for individuals from varied backgrounds to come together and work through the challenges facing consumer-driven health care in the new administration.

To register for an upcoming event, please contact Robin Knox, project manager for Consumers for Health Care Choices, at 312-377-4000 or rknox@heartland.org. There is no registration fee to attend.

Topics to be discussed include:

  • The Public Plan Option: How Will it Affect Patients?
  • Health Information Technology and Comparative Effectiveness: Will it Help or Hurt?
  • Is There Room for Entitlement Reform in the Obama Administration?
  • A Primer on Consumer-Driven Health Care
  • Hospitals: Will They Remain Competitive?
  • Health Insurance Exchange: Can the Private Market Do Better?
  • Is There a Future for HSAs in Obama Care?
  • Protecting the Doctor - Patient Relationship

Please join health care experts and other health industry leaders to discuss the latest developments in consumer-driven health care, the new administration’s plans for reform, and research and advocacy in the coming year.
