Gwendalyn Carver joined The Heartland Institute in February of 2006. Carver has held positions as an administrative assistant, bookkeeper, and database manager, and she is now the director of development.

Gwendalyn Carver joined The Heartland Institute in February of 2006. Carver has held positions as an administrative assistant, bookkeeper, and database manager, and she is now the director of development. As part of Heartland’s development team, she oversees Heartland’s comprehensive fundraising efforts including proposal writing, direct mail, and donor events. She is the main liaison between Heartland and its 6,000 supporters, answering their questions and encouraging them to get the most out of their relationship with Heartland.

Before joining Heartland, Carver was a shift manager for the enrollment specialists in the Recruitment Department at Robert Morris College and held positions with the American Cancer Society and The Epilepsy Foundation. She received a B.A. (magna cum laude) in business administration in health care management from Robert Morris College.
