Jeffrey VanCleave is a former Media Specialist at The Heartland Institute.

Hailing from Memphis, Tennesse, Jeffrey attended the University of Memphis where he studied Human Development and Learning. Prior to joining Heartland, Jeffrey worked in the county government office in Shelby County, Tennessee as an Administrative Assistant to Mayor Mark Luttrell. Jeffrey joined The Heartland Institute's administrative staff in July 2020 and joined the Communications Team in July 2021.

As a Media Specialist for The Heartland Institute, Jeffrey tracks and records media hits for the institute and its staff and fellows, updates Heartland's various websites, produces podcasts, and helps staff Heartland public events, among other duties.

Jeffrey is a big supporter of education, children, and their rights. He enjoys hiking, swimming, and spending time with his wife, son, and their dog, Georgia.
