Lee Gerhard (1937 – 2025)

Senior Scientist Emeritus, University of Kansas

Lee Gerhard was senior scientist emeritus, University of Kansas, and past director and state geologist of the Kansas Geological Survey. He was a policy advisor to The Heartland Institute.

Dr. Gerhard’s research interests were in carbonate sedimentology, petroleum geology, and environmental public policy.
