Alex Newman: Crimes of the Educators

Alex Newman is the co-author of ‘Crimes of the Educators.’ He discusses his new exposé of crimes perpetrated by the education establishment against America’s children.

The Heartland Institute
3939 N. Wilke Road
Arlington Heights, Illinois 60004

International journalist and educator Alex Newman discloses some of the many crimes committed by the education establishment against the American people and their children. The pervasiveness and severity of these crimes are becoming increasingly obvious: widespread illiteracy and ignorance, staggering lack of historic and civic knowledge, economic decline, and a society in chaos. The root causes, though, have been kept carefully concealed ... until now.

Newman, who co-wrote Crimes of the Educators with the late Dr. Samuel Blumenfeld, shows how public schools are still using discredited methodologies for teaching reading. These methods were first exposed as dangerous quackery more than 150 years ago, yet they continue to be used in government schools across America and do untold damage to our children.

Newman also offer a brief overview of education history showing how – under the guidance of socialist “public-education godfather” John Dewey and his cohorts – Americans went from being the most educated people in the world to being an international embarrassment. From the constant “re-centering” of the SAT tests to conceal the disaster, to plunging international rankings, Americans are getting dumber and dumber despite spending close to a trillion dollars per year on education. Why is this happening?
