About the Authors

Jonathan Hoenig is a professional investor, Fox News Contributor, and editor of A New Textbook of Americanism. 

A Chicago native, Mr. Hoenig attended Northwestern University before leaving school at a senior in the 1990s to pursue his dream of trading on the floor of the Chicago Board of Trade. In 2000, he started Capitalistpig Hedge Fund LLC, a private investment-partnership dedicated to alternative assets and non-correlated, absolute return. In 2013, Mr. Hoenig became the first hedge fund to advertise to the general public since 1933. 

He is a frequent commentator in the financial and general press and is a regular contributor to Fox Business Network, appearing with Maria Bartiromo, Neil Cavuto, Stuart Varney and others.

Publications includes Greed is Good: The Capitalistpig Guide to Investing (1999) and The Pit: Photographic Portrait of the Chicago Trading Floor.  His 2014 film, Pit Trading 101 was honored with festival awards. His recent book, A New Textbook of Americanism: The Politics of Ayn Rand has appeared on Amazon best-seller lists and presents never-before-seen material by one of America's most controversial minds.

Amy Peikoff earned her BS in math/applied science and her JD at UCLA, where she served as an editor on the UCLA Law Review. After completing her law degree she went to USC, where she earned her PhD in philosophy. She has taught at Southwestern Law School, Chapman University School of Law, the United States Air Force Academy, University of North Carolina, and University of Texas.

In addition to several opinion pieces in leading newspapers and online publications, she has published academic articles on the right to privacy, Searle’s theory of rational action, and aspects of the novels of Ayn Rand. She has been a frequent guest on Tucker Carlson Tonight

Richard Salsman is founder, President and Chief Market Strategist of IFI, formulating and directing our quantifying of market-price indicators to guide the asset allocation decisions and trading strategies of professional investors. Prior to founding IFI in 2000 Dr. Salsman advised institutional investors as a senior economist at H.C. Wainwright & Co. Economics, Inc. (1993-1999).
