AFEC 2018 - REIN(S)ing in the Regulators (Guest: Myron Ebell)

October 11, 2018

On this special AFEC recap podcast, the Competitive Enterprise Institute’s Myron Ebell discusses the REINS Act and the need to roll back on regulations.

The Regulations from the Executive In Need of Scrutiny Act (REINS Act) requires legislative approval of regulations that cost the private sector more than a set amount. A federal version sets the bar at $100 million. Director of the Competitive Enterprise Institute Myron Ebell discusses his experiences with the federal government and how it is ‘killing the west.’  Environmental regulation is costly and badly managed, and needs to be taken under control.
