Arthur Viterito, Ph.D.: Why President Trump's Clexit Decision was the Right One

August 7, 2017

The Paris climate treaty was based upon flawed, inadequate science and would have been enormously costly to enact. Trump was right to withdraw the U.S. from the Treaty based on the current state of the science.

Professor Arthur Viterito says the causes and consequences of present climate change are only poorly understood. Climate changes rarely match predictions of climate models and the costs of reducing carbon dioxide emissions are high -- reducing human well being.  On this basis, President Trump was right to pull the United States out of the Paris climate agreement.
