At its current rate, climate change does not threaten human society or the environment. Extreme weather events have not gotten worse; contrary to the claims of leading climate researchers wedded to the idea that humans are causing catastrophic climate change. They are acting like inquisitors of old, punishing dissenters or climate skeptics, and enforcing doctrinaire majoritarian conformity to the detriment of good scientific practice and sound public policy. In truth, none of the attempts to fight modest warming thus far have had any effect.
