October 26, 2016

Catholic schools should not implement the Common Core standards, and what Catholic and other concerned parents can do to combat the influence Common Core is having on their children.

On this edition of the Heartland Institute’s education podcast, your host, education research fellow and managing editor of School Reform News, Teresa Mull, talks to Dan Guernsey, director of K-12 education programs at the Cardinal Newman Society, about a new report that finds Common Core insufficient with a Catholic education.

Guernsey explains what the paper, "After the Fall: Catholic Education Beyond the Common Core," reveals, why Catholic schools should not implement the Common Core standards, and what Catholic and other concerned parents can do to combat the influence Common Core is having on their children.
