Donn Dears: Clexit for a Brighter Future

April 10, 2017

The book Clexit for a Brighter Future: The Case for the Withdrawing from United Nations’ Climate Treaties, shows unless the U.S. and the world abandons all U.N. Climate Treaties, the world will become a poorer, more dangerous place.

Donn Dears examines the high costs the world faces if we attempt to meet goals set in various climate treaties forcing the world to virtually end fossil fuel use. Dear argues actually cutting greenhouse gas emissions by 50 to 0 percent by 2050 -- the target set in various climate treaties -- is actually impossible, but the attempt to do so will leave the most impoverished people in developing countries dying too soon due to lack of food, clean water and the conveniences made possible by a modern electric power system. And American's would have to go back to living a mid-19th century lifestyle. An all this for no environmental gain since the best evidence is the sun, not human greenhouse gas emissions, controls the climate.
