New national science standards are out, proclaiming themselves "Next Generation Science Standards" while lacking essential academic content, infringing on freedom of religion, and pushing politicized climate science. Joining the podcast to discuss these standards and how to promote objective science education is Dr. Bob Lattimer, president of Citizens for Objective Public Education. COPE promotes objectivity in public school curricula on religious questions so the educational effect of teaching is religiously neutral. Bob’s background and expertise is in chemistry, and he was a member of the writing team for Ohio’s 2002 science standards.
