Mark Skousen joins the podcast to discuss his book, "The Making of Modern Economics," which tells the heroic story of free market economics from Adam Smith to modern times. Mark also explains democratic capitalism, gross output, and FreedomFest.

Skousen is the editor of Forecasts & Strategies, a former president of the Foundation for Economic Education, and the author of more than 25 books. He is a presidential fellow at Chapman University. Skousen is also the producer of FreedomFest, an annual event for lovers of freedom and believers in free markets.

Skousen earned his Ph.D. in monetary economics from George Washington University in 1977.
