Exposing California's Anti-Poor and Anti-Business Energy Policies (Guest: CA State Sen. Ted Gaines)

May 17, 2018

California's energy policies are forcing poor people to leave the state. CA state Senator Ted Gaines (R-El Dorado Hills) is trying to bring them back.

CA state Senator Ted Gaines (R-El Dorado Hills) says over his objections, CA Democrats have recently enacted energy policies that hurt the poor and drive businesses and jobs out of state. These policies include higher gas taxes, a cap-and-trade carbon dioxide program, and a mandate that new homes must have solar panels installed. In a state with among the highest home and energy prices in nation, these policies make housing and energy even less affordable.
