Heartland Uses Climate Science to Rebut Liberal Global Climate Action Summit

September 19, 2018

California Gov. Jerry Brown's Global Climate Action Summit was overflowing with liberal political elites, activists, and celebrities touting the need for socialism to combat climate change -- all it was missing was any science to make their case.

The Heartland Institute's Senior Fellow James Taylor joins the program to discuss the facts behind the Global Climate Action Summit. It was high on rhetoric and extreme socialists calling for the end of capitalism to fight anthropogenic climate change. Naturally, they didn't provide the science to back up their claims. The Heartland Institute's rebuttal event, in contrast, consisted of scientists providing evidence humans were causing catastrophic climate change and that weather events were not in fact becoming more extreme.
