Ill Literacy, Episode IX: Arguing with Socialists (Guests: Justin Haskins & Donny Kendal)

September 8, 2020

In Episode IX of Ill Literacy, Tim Benson talks with Heartland’s Justin Haskins and Donny Kendal about their contributions to Glenn Beck’s book "Arguing with Socialists."

Heartland’s Tim Benson is joined by two other Heartland guests, editorial director Justin Haskins and graphic designer Donny Kendal, about their contributions to Glenn Beck’s Arguing with Socialists. They discuss what socialism is, and what it isn’t, how socialism differs from communism, and how America’s economic problems are not the result of “too much” capitalism. They also chat about Venezuela, Scandinavia, talk about Heartland’s Stopping Socialism project, and delve into modern monetary theory, the Green New Deal, and how authoritarian regimes are using technology to control and harass their captive populations.
