October 19, 2020

In Episode XV of Ill Literacy, Tim Benson is talks with Rod Dreher about his new book, “Live Not By Lies: A Manual for Christian Dissidents.”

Heartland’s Tim Benson is joined by The American Conservative’s Rod Dreher to discuss his new book, Live Not By Lies: A Manual for Christian Dissidents. They discuss “soft totalitarianism,” how totalitarianism differs from authoritarianism, and how to “live in truth.” They discuss woke capitalism, cancel culture, and how progressivism is turning itself into an ersatz religion. Dreher also explains how faith is the bedrock of resistance and why, counterintuitively to most people, suffering can be a gift.
