Joe Leimkuhler: Assessing the Possibilities for American Energy Dominance

November 24, 2017

America is living in an age of energy abundance. We have the resources to be energy dominant in many areas of energy production and trade if regulatory barriers are removed.

America has abundant energy resources, and President Donald Trump's call for not just energy independence, but dominance, will lead to America playing a key role in world markets. This is a real possibility if regulator barriers to the development, use, and export of our fuel resources can be overcome.

Joe Leimkuhler of LLOG Exploration discusses the possibility of America becoming energy dominant in the fields of oil, natural gas, coal, nuclear, and renewables. We are the largest producer of natural gas and have the largest reserves of coal, but to impact world markets we need increased export capacity.
