Edmund Contoski discusses his history with John Hospers, the first presidential candidate of the Libertarian Party, in honor of Hospers’ birthday and passing.

Jack Stocker and Edmund Contoski have a conversation discussing John Hospers, chairman and professor emeritus of the philosophy department at the University of Southern California. They discuss Contoski’s correspondence and friendship with Mr. Hospers, as well as Contoski’s book Makers and Takers which Hospers described as “the most powerful libertarian book in many years” and “a vigorous and sustained argument for free enterprise.”

Edmund Contoski has had a varied career. He is a former director of planning for an internationally renowned environmental consulting firm doing business in more than 40 countries.
