It is well known that in the end stages of life, treatment costs escalate.  This is when health insurance have a declining incentive to keep you alive.  Who might feel otherwise?  Your life insurance company, and it might be willing to pay for treatments in a way health insurance companies can’t or won’t.

Dana Goldman discusses how this arrangement can work, how receptive the life insurance industry is to the idea and how it is being used to some extent, today.
