The End of Secret Science and Carbon Colonialism (Guest: David Wojick)

June 20, 2018

The changes at EPA enacted by President Donald Trump and Administrator Scott Pruitt will improve science-based regulations and advance US foreign policy goals.

In this episode of the Heartland Daily Podcast, David Wojick, former consultant with the Office of Scientific and Technical Information at the U.S. Department of Energy, explains the flawed methodology utilized by the Obama-era EPA.  Obama’s EPA produced scientific studies that formed the basis of public policy.  These studies were flawed and not reproducible.

The Trump administration, with the help of EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt, has altered the EPA’s course, ending the use of secret science.  For sound science, experiments need to be reproducible and data must be available.  Any other system promotes flawed science and thus, flawed policy.
