The Government Stands in the Way of Good Health Care (Guest: Dr. Chad Savage, M.D.)

August 17, 2021

Patients and doctors alike love Direct Primary Care. Why aren’t we seeing more doctors offering it?

Patients and doctors alike love Direct Primary Care (DPC). Patients pay a monthly flat fee for continued care with a primary care doctor, access to low cost drugs, and imaging and lab services. Physicians love DPC because they no longer have to deal with the hassles of third-party payers.

So how is it that only one percent of practicing physicians work under the DPC model?

Dr. Chad Savage, M.D. discusses how state and federal regulations are blocking patients and physicians from accessing the DPC model. Is DPC the answer to revolutionizing primary care in today’s dysfunctional health care market?
