Want to Go Green? Then You Need Nuclear (Guest: Amy Oliver Cooke)

July 20, 2021

If people want low carbon emissions from the electricity sector and still want to live in the 21st century, the affordable, reliable, environmentally friendly way to do it is nuclear power. Period.

As The Heartland Institute is getting ready for our big climate conference in Las Vegas October 15-17 (ICCC-14), we wanted to offer you some sneak previews of what the program will look like. And how better to do that than to invite our speakers to give previews of the presentations they are preparing?

In our fifth in this series, broadcast LIVE on YouTube Thursday, July 15, Amy Oliver Cooke, Chief Executive Officer of the John Locke Foundation, gave a sneak peek of her Las Vegas presentation. In this preview, Cooke will discuss "Want to Go Green? Then You Need to Go Nuclear."

Spoiler alert. If people want low carbon emissions from the electricity sector and still want to live in the 21st century, the affordable, reliable, environmentally friendly way to do it is nuclear power. Period. It’s that simple.
