An Article V convention is one of two methods allowed by the Constitution of the United States to propose amendments. A convention is called by Congress when 34 state legislatures submit applications calling for a convention. As the news media reports a growing number of presidential candidates support an Article V convention, many people wonder how the convention process works. Two special guests will join us to talk about their plans to simulate a constitutional convention. Former Michigan Supreme Court Justice Thomas Brennan, now with Convention USA, and former Iowa state legislator Neal Schuerer of Campaign Constitution will talk about how their systems work. They will also address falsehoods being spread by opponents of a convention.
