But just how effective are gun bans? And would letting citizens arm themselves be a more effective way in dealing with crime?

Rachel Maddow on MSNBC interviewed former Asst. U.S. Attorney in Chicago Scott Turow last night on her show about the Gov. Blagojevich scandal. Citing an op-ed published last week in the Chicago Tribune op-ed written by the Heartland Institutes Senior Legal Fellow Maureen Martin, Maddow asked Turow if he agreed with Martin that not every crime is a federal crime and that there has to be a commerce clause link.
