FNC's "Special Report with Bret Baier" on April 9, 2014 stated the truth: "Despite repeated proclamations that science comes down on one particular side, it turns out many scientists do not agree." Reporter Doug McKelway presents an excellent piece on the release of the latest report by the Nongovernmental International Panel on Climate Change, "Climate Change Reconsidered II: Biological Impacts." McKelway reports it contains "a torrent of new data poking very large holes in what the president has called the scientific consensus about global warming." On September 18, 2013, Rush Limbaugh cited research by The Heartland Institute and the Nongovernmental International Panel on Climate Change (NIPCC) in a discussion about global warming. He pointed out that "skeptics" have a wealth of scientific research to dispute the claim that human activity is having a disastrous effect on the Earth's climate. The Heartland Institute's First International Conference on Climate Change (ICCC-1) took place in March 2008 in New York City. One hundred speakers and panelists came from 26 countries to prove that leading scientists and economists from around the world dispute the claim that global warming is a crisis. More than 500 people attended the conference, which generated global press attention.
