With hurricane Laura hitting Louisiana, and causing significant damage, there will be the predictable climate alarmist claims that this hurricane was somehow made worse by “climate change”. But, the data says otherwise. An analysis of historical hurricane data by climatologist Dr. Roy Spencer of the University of Alabama, Huntsville shows neither hurricane numbers nor intensities have increased in Louisiana.

The hype from the Los Angeles Times was “…possibly the highest mercury reading on Earth since 1913“. https://www.yahoo.com/news/death-valley-hits-130-degrees-053931284.html But they didn’t tell you the full story. In fact, back in 1913, over 100 years of “global warming” ago, Death Valley’s official weather station at Greenland Ranch hit an all-time record of 134°F, which hasn’t been broken, and it was 130°F or higher three times that July. What global warming activists and the LA Times aren’t telling you is that this claimed “record” is simply “business as usual” for Death Valley and has happened before.

Despite claims from environmentalists that they are in danger, polar bear populations are increasing dramatically during recent decades even as the planet has warmed. Speculation that polar bears are facing imminent demise defy polar bear evolution, polar bear history, and the present state of polar bear populations. Climate activists like to admonish us not to eat meat to "save the planet". American ranchers and meat consumption have virtually no impact on overall greenhouse gas emissions or climate. Cattle and beef production account for just 2% of U.S. greenhouse gas emissions. Heartland's Donald Kendal, Jim Lakely, and The Center for the American Experiment’s Isaac Orr are joined by Michael Shellenberger in episode 250 of the In The Tank Podcast. Shellenberger is on the show to talk about his "controversial" new book "Apocalypse Never: Why Environmental Alarmism Hurts Us All." The book destroys the climate alarmist narrative that the world is coming to an end and that wind and solar are the future of energy in the United States. He also discusses how climate alarmism has become the new secular religion that he once observed, and his journey to the side of reason, science, and realism. Climate alarmists like to claim that anthropogenic climate change is causing disastrous effects on coral reefs. Specifically, the Great Barrier Reef is always referenced. Here's the truth: the Great Barrier Reef is doing fine, human CO2 emissions aren't destroying coral, and the media will never tell you this.
