The government's purpose is to protect the unalienable rights which are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness (property). Freedom of speech is another unalienable right. These rights were not given to us by government. They preexist it. Today, three corporations control 97% of the social media market. These platforms are using their dominance to suppress our preexisting unalienable free speech rights. Pushing back against this tyranny is the reason government exists in the first place.

Dr. Scott Jensen, a long-time family physician, is a former Minnesota State Senator who is now running for governor. While working as a physician, Dr. Jensen became aware that reporting COVID-19 deaths was done differently than other diseases. Specifically, Dr. Jensen was told to report deaths as “due to COVID,” even if that wasn’t the primary cause. When Dr Jensen reported this to his higher-ups, he was told that a medical board was reviewing his license, which is required to practice medicine. Essentially, he had to stay silent or lose his job. Dr. Jensen decided to go public with this information even though it threatened his career. Now, he’s running for governor in Minnesota. James Taylor, president of The Heartland Institute, and Linnea Lueken, research fellow for The Heartland Institute, give testimony in Pennsylvania regarding the mining of rare Earth elements. Construction of renewable energy sources including wind and solar require rare Earth elements. When we push policies advancing renewables, we subsequently are creating greater demand for rare Earth elements. Rare Earth elements are also critical to the United States military. China controls much of the global supply of rare Earth elements. Thus, our reliance on China is only growing as we push ill-advised policies. James and Linnea's testimony covered the economic impacts, and legislative feasibility, of beginning new domestic rare Earth element mining operations.
