Film Tax Credits: Showy, Glitzy, Economic Failures

States across the country are spending millions of dollars to attract film and television productions to their states. No state is more generous toward film companies than Michigan, yet Michigan's economy remains a shambles, and the state protects film companies that refuse to tell taxpayers how they spend their film tax credit money. James Hohman of the Mackinac Center for Public Policy in Midland, Michigan, has been following the film tax credit issue and joins us to explain how the program's unseen costs could top any benefits that are seen.
