Zycher Letter to Bicameral Task Force on Climate Change

Benjamin Zycher –
February 13, 2013

Ben Zycher, a visiting scholar at the American Enterprise Institute, writes a letter to Congressman Henry Waxman and Senator Sheldon Whitehouse in response to an inquiry they submitted to Dr. Arthur Brooks, President of the American Enterprise Institute, in regards to "actions the federal government can take to address climate change."

Zycher responds by writing how federal policies aimed at reducing U.S. contributions to global warming effects are likely to impose substanstanial economic costs without yielding significant benefits in return. As an alternative, Zycher recommends federal policies encouraging patient observation, rigorous peer-reviewed analysis, and adaptation through market forces.
