Fracking is responsible for the greatest growth in oil and gas production the U.S. has ever experienced. While environmentalists would have government's shut fracking down due to inaccurate claims that fracking is causing earthquakes, the truth is fracking has never cause earthquakes and the wastewater disposal practices that have been responsible for some modest tremors can be fixed with modest siting regulations, bonding requirements and waste water recycling. A ban is uncalled for and would be cause more harm than it prevents.
