How Much U.S. Households with Employer Insurance Spend on Premiums, Out-of-Pocket Costs
This report looks at employee costs for insurance plans relative to income and ranks them according to state.
The Commonwealth Fund looked specifically at out of pocket costs and premium contributions relative to income and found that 23.6 million Americans with employer plans were paying 10 percent or more out of their household paychecks for their health care costs. The combined costs can range between $300 to $12,080, according to the report.
