Impacts of Climate Change: Perception and reality
February 3, 2021
Data on climate sensitive indicators and empirical trends do not demonstrate a climate catastrophe is looming.
Neither temperature trends, nor data and records tracking the frequency and severity of extreme weather events support the narrative that humans are causing a near-term climate catastrophe. Rather temperature trends are lower than predicted by climate models, and data shows the number and severity of most tracked extreme weather events and natural disasters have either stabilized or modestly declined in recent decades.
