The Institute for Justice conducted a national study to measure how burdensome occupational licensing laws are for low-income workers. The study looks at 102 low to medium income jobs and finds that licensing laws are often widespread, overly burdensome, and irrational. Overall, licensing barriers should be reduced and removed.
