The Truth About Plastic Bags

Single use plastic bags use less energy and other resources, are less expensive, are better for public health, and result in fewer negative environmental impacts than alternative shopping bags.

Although supposed single use plastic bags have been blamed for harming wildlife and, whether properly or improperly disposed of, for visual blight and solid waste, in truth plastic bags cost less both to retailers and cities, create less pollution, use less energy and other natural resources, and create jobs in the U.S. Cities who ban bags, put Americans out of work and don't save themselves money or prevent environmental harm.
