The book Energy Made Easy by Ronald Stein attempts to help citizens become energy literate, in part by explaining the continuing critical function and value of fossil fuels. Fossil fuels make modern life possible, both through the energy they produce and in the products which require them. Foreign adversaries China and Russia are waging energy war on the U.S. threatening our, and our allies national security.

Gas taxes, boutique fuel requirements, low carbon fuel standards and other programs add more than a dollar to each gallon of fuel in California. A bill being proposed would require a breakdown of the costs of fuel at the pump, letting California drivers in on the secret of how much government programs are adding to their energy costs.
